I got a bill from a debt collector 2 entire years after the treatment (no previous contact about an outstanding balance) and after disputing it using the records that were available to me on ATIs portal - the debt collectors sent me an itemized receipt.

Ati Physical Therapy - Worse experience

I called them before going to check if they accept my insurance, and I insisted on saying what insurance I had, they confirm they take it and i booked. Each time I go they ask to make a copy of my insurance. After 10 sessions, they called me to say that they are not in network with my insurance and they harassed me with their calls to pay the balance

Ati Physical Therapy - I attended ATI for physical therapy do to a workman's comp injury....

I spoke with the manager Jake who felt as though rubbing alcohol will justify my compensation and scrapping the burn skin flakes is a way of not taking responsibility. I initially thought it was bruise.

After I showed my physical therapist Valentine and Catlien they both knew it was a bruise and instead of saying anything. They're choosing to keep quiet. I can't understand why anyone from Corporate or a general manager hasn't reached out. Beware of heat therapy.

Especially if your back is exposed.

If Your therapist doesn't come back, a check on you. Tucker, Georgia

Overcharging you for every single possible service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

PT sessions were fine

Billing is horrible. You pay $120/hr for a session out-of-pocket but if you go through insurance, they overcharge for every single thing.

They charged insurance $300-600/hr for the same exact services so I ended up paying 2X via insurance than if I had paid out of pocket.

This is a scam, but one that is perfectly legal. Either a) never use ATI or b) never go through your insurance.

The branch is excellent but the billing dept sucks

I called the billing dept this morning as i had left a message over the weekend..my attorney asked me to find out of they accept my insurance. I have gone to ATI before for physical therapy and had a great experience at the actual.location.

however the billing dept is a different story. I spoke to "S" in the billing dept this morning and she was outright rude and kept interrupting me.

I was simply calling to ask her a billing question amd she was extremely unprofessional. I will never call the billing dept again and am very disappointed and angry at how i was treated.i will give one star for this reason

I chose virtual sessions because it was hard for me to sit in a car. During my 3 months therapy, four different therapists worked with me and only one of them did a good job demonstrating movements and posting updates via emails.

The rest either just sat there did no demo or kept forgetting sending exercises to me. I hope they can have a universal SOP for all therapists, especially virtual therapist who can never be connected with.

Fraudulent billing. They use codes to bill and don't explain the codes when asked. Also after 8 weeks three x per week I still need spine surgery.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

At a average of $410 per 45 minute visit its just not worth it. I did most of the work out myself.

After getting a surprise bill I tried to talk with customer support about payment options.

They just kept passing me around. After hrs on the phone I gave up.

Patient review

I called the silverbell in Tucson location to cancel an appointment. The young man who answered the phone said I called the hub, which confused me.

He began to laugh and I could hear the people around him laugh as well which made me realize he was standing there making faces or gestures to make fun of me. I asked for a manager and got Michael who let me know they believe in having a good time while working.

So I also realized he would do nothing as correction for this situation. This clinic is very unprofessional, even during treatment.

Horrible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been lied to, harassed, and treated like my insurance doesn't pay so that I get better service.

For 1-hour sessions in each body part, at the Eastern location in Nevada, I was given 15 minutes. And only 30 minutes for the other body part.

After putting a complaint in, NO ONE from the MGMT dept contacted me.

Moving on!

I went to another location Desert Inn, this was for two body parts as well and my shoulder was a problem with the Physical Therapist. He asked me during all 5 visits to give a date that I would like to be discharged. Since that is a question better asked by my Insurance company or Orthopedic, I refused to give an answer. I have now been told for over 30 days that that Physical Therapist at the Desert Inn location was waiting for pre-Approval from his manager as the reason I have not been seen.

I have called my insurance company on the phone as well. Now since lies are coming to light, complaints and grievances have been filed. I JUST WANTED PHYSICAL THERAPY, NOT THE HASSLE OF DEALING WITH PEOPLE PERSONAL FEELINGS ABOUT ME. (Without actually knowing me)

I have now been without therapy and my new referrals have been sent once again from my orthopedic office.

I thought because of the nagging questions about my shoulder that maybe that was the reason I have not been seen. A member of escalations asked why I hadn't been seen for the other body part? I stated it's because I have not received a call stating I could be seen AT ALL...

She stated I was only discharged for one body part.

WOULDN'T YOU THINK IT'S MY SHOULDER THAT HAS BEEN DISCHARGED?

Instead, it has been my back that was discharged and I could continue being seen for my shoulder.

THIS IS WHY I SAY, THE LIES AND HARASSMENT FROM ATI IS ALL PERSONAL. It had NOTHING to do with my shoulder at all and it clearly has nothing to do with my back.

A NEW REFERRAL WAS SENT IN FOR BOTH BODY PARTS so my Orthopedic wanted me to finish and the discharge was ATI's doing.

Why discharge me for one and not the other when the other is my shoulder. The main reason for these complaints.

Maybe my skin is too dark and smooth for people to REMEMBER HOW TO HAVE CLASS AND BE PROFESSIONAL.

I spoke to a manager after all of my complaints and grievances. It takes all of that and over a month to get a call from one.

After an hour of my time wasted we decided I would continue being seen at ATI other locations. Since I refused to go back to Desert Inn.

This manager stated he thought I was done with ATI and moving on.

I wish I could move on but INSURANCE isn't being accepted by anyone but ATI. Maybe I shouldn't have shared that much since they are not professional.

I will tell you why I say that, KEEP READING!

I was informed BY THAT MANAGER on 5/11/2021 a Pre-Authorization would be sent to my Insurance company and I was told that my new Referrals were received. And after wasting 30 more minutes of my time today 5/13/2021 and getting confirmation the referral was received, I was told that when they received my grievance from my insurance they DECIDED TO END SERVICE INDEFINITELY.

They have no problems showing retaliation, and they have a real problem with resolving issues early, so that it won't become a grievance.

THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE!

Yes I've just had a very slimy encounter with them as well. Went in to talk about treatment ONLY to talk because I did not want to be obligated to any payment before I found out about other options through my insurance.

I shouldn't have done any paperwork but I agreed to fill out anything that wasn't going to 100 sign me up for bills and insurance etc and I told them this verbally multiple times while they reassured me and practically coaxed me into signing off my right to say no to them charging me despite the humane agreement I had assumed I would find in a family friendly company supposedly. Really *** *** me off because when I contact claims about it with my story they just throw the book at me and say look here buddy you said you'd pay. Keep this in mind I was late to the appointment, took at least 30 minutes to do paperwork, and then when I said I didn't want to do any treatment, they said they would just check me out and assured me that there wouldn't be charges. 2 weeks later, bill in the mail for like 500 dollars to my insurance and 35 dollars to me for what?

To examine my leg for 15 minutes and have me do one stretch.

Absolute horrendous customer service. They just mailed me a polite *** you letter and a copy of the signed document the girl helping me all but breathed down my neck to finish.

Poor Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been sent here for physical therapy 2 times before so I was alright with going back once again even though last time I had grown frustraighted with the therapist bouncing back and forth between me and another patient and not giving me one on one time I deserved and I found out quickly the place had gone down hill even more since last time I was there, the director Joan seems to think she knows more than my doctor on whether I need more therapy, my doctor says more therapy will help me, Joan has the attitude she can do nothing more to help me, (guess she need's further training in therapy if she run out of ways to help me) and said I should only come in for a few appointments to refresh my exercises, so I went in today and that was a mistake the therapist was running back and forth between 3 of us patience's, clearly over booked spent less than 15 minutes with me and ended the 1 hour appointment 15 minutes early with me left alone on the table with a bolster under my knee's and heating pads on top of my knee' s struggling to get up cause no one was there to help me and in the process of getting off the table my knees were further injured so today was really a waste of my time to go left there I am more injured then when I got there and angry over the poor treatment.

Tomorrow I will call and cancel the rest of my appointments, my Doctor already said she will send me some where else that will help me since this place won't.

Very disappointed in this place uncaring poor service

Worst experience ever at a PT clinic. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in.

In the meantime i went to chiropractor and massage therapist who greatly helped me. The PT undid all their work with one exercise. She then had the audacity to blame me for doing it too aggressively when I followed her directions to a T. I am an exercise physiologist.

I told her the exercise would likely cause issues due to my tongue tie and EDS. She was horrible and would not do the manual therapy I needed to get better. They are the worst.

I worked for them for 1 day 2 years ago. They have the worst attitudes and do not know what they are doing.

Incompetent Therapist

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Being treated for shoulder. Then started having lower back issue.

Therapist then insisted that I do more exercise. This time for lower back. Advised that I had sciatica in 15 years ago and it may trigger issue. Therapist stated just because I had it 15 years ago, doesnt mean I have now.

Did exercise. Sciatica came back.. Couldnt move. Ambulance had to take me to hospital.

Extremely painful. Started using a cane . As a resulted incurred unplanned expenses from Drs. and Specialist.

The API would no waive my bill. There negligence cost me a lot. Reached out to Attorney for guidance.

Recommend that you locate another therapy company, as they are not supportive if customer. Hope you dont go through what I went through, because of their negligence.

To warn others

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ati physical therapy submitted claims using out-of-network ID when my insurance was within their network, which was confirmed by both Ati physical therapy and my insurance company. It has been more than two months now and I've made numerous phone calls asking them to resubmit the claims.

But the only answer I've been getting so far is my case is being reviewed with no explanation of how longer it will take to resolve this issue. Also I was told that they are short-staffed and that is another reason why things are taking much longer.

Please please stay away from this company. Totally unethical!
